In-House Marketing
In-House Marketing is probably the oldest form of marketing there is. We've all seen it, and we've probably all benefited from it. BOGOF (buy one get one free), Dine 4 times and get a free meal, Free Servicing with all new cars - the list is endless! Does it work? Yes, often too well! Many businesses don't put enough thought in to the offer and end up giving away something they don't need to. To work properly in-house marketing needs to be carefully structured and properly monitored.
Use it best with other Marketing
In-House Marketing is most effective when used in conjunction with other forms of advertising. Two of the best ways are to use it in conjunction with your existing customer mailing list, in the form of offers in E-Newsletters, or by using it in conjunction with Direct Mail. Some of the best campaigns actually centre around free trials. Most people are intrigued by free offers, and if you're confident in your product then a free offer can work wonders. But target it properly and look at the long-term returns.
