What is Search Engine Optimisation?
Quite simply, SEO is making the search engines find your website.
It doesn't matter how wonderful your new website is, if no-one can find it there isn't much point! That's not entirely true of course, but not having your site properly optimised is a huge wasted opportunity.
If all you want is something along the lines of an e-brochure you can point any enquiries to then that's your decision. But why do that when you can have Google sending visitors to your site?
Is SEO Expensive?
Yes, and no! Yes, it costs money. Good SEO is an on-going project. It needs to be built and developed, and however good the initial optimisation is, if you stop optimising you start to lose ground.
No, it's not expensive! Why? Well you have to look at the returns. If you spent £1,000 and make £10,000 would that be expensive? No, it would be cheap. And that, like all good marketing, is the crux. It's not what you spend, it's what you get back that matters. It's not price that matters, it's value. And good SEO is very good value.
Can you SEO my existing Site?
Probably. SEO is a game of two halves. The initial part consists of writing the website in such a way that the search engines look favourably on the content. We can get your site re-written to achieve these objectives, but the difference in cost between a re-coding and a new site isn't great. So if you already have a site we would usually recommend you have a re-build. After all, why not kick-start your new marketing with a great new site?
The second part of the SEO is the real time consuming part. In essence it consists of getting your site listed in as many related area of the web as possible. The better this is done, the better the results you'll achieve. And frankly, we can get a rubbish site to get good search engine results. But all that would do is give you traffic and no customers! So the site is as important as the links to it.
